The MODX team has made Revolution 2.5.0-pl available. Highlights of the release include PHP7 compatibility, improved usability of the manager and performance improvements.

When using the media sources API in MODX to upload files, you might run into issues with files being renamed on upload by plugins like FileSluggy and filetranslit. We did. We finally found a fix for our extras, and would like to share the solution with others who might run into the same issue.

The international community-led team that is behind MODX Evolution have made some important changes and released version 1.1 last week. The changes include updates to the caching to allow it to power larger sites, compatibility with PHP 5.6 and PHP 7, and dozens of other bug fixes and improvements.
