Not everyone lurks on GitHub all the time to keep up with what's going on in MODX3, so there are 2 important breaking changes I want to share with you today that may affect upgrades to 3.0 a little further down the road. First of all, dropping support for sqlsrv, and secondly that custom core paths are no longer possible.

Today modmore officially released Big Brother v2. Big Brother is a dashboard widget for MODX that provides you with visitor statistics at a glance, showing you how well your site is performing with a selection of charts and metrics. It was originally built way back in 2011, and with GA4 and MODX3 support it's now ready for the future.

After last week's release of v2.8.0 was quickly diagnosed with some issues, v2.8.1 has just been released with more security fixes and improvements.

It's now possible to manage DNS for your sites hosted in MODX Cloud... from within the MODX Cloud dashboard! That, and more news, in the June Cloud update on the MODX blog.
