On Thursday October 29th there is a MODX Meetup in Utrecht for the Dutch MODXers. There will be a talk by Robbert van Markus about using MODX and Laravel together, which should be very interesting. For all details and to RSVP, head over to the group at meetup.com.

Only a short few months ago, the team at SEDA.digital and I were excited about putting together an exciting MODXpo Europe for you. It was originally planned to take place today and tomorrow, but only a month after the announcement it was already pushed back to October due to the coronovirus spreading heavily all over Europe.

After months of hard work the team at modmore are excited to announce Redactor 2 is now available as pre-release. This major bump includes a lot of new features (like a brand new media manager with more options for power users, syntax highlighting for source mode) as well a ton of bug fixes and improvements.

Today modmore has launched a new Video Library with educational MODX videos. The first batch of videos includes a primer on how caching works, a showcase of the getCache extra to optimise templates further, and a dive into some other cool ways to apply the MODX parser. Videos are available from the Video Library, and modmore's YouTube channel.

The MODX community is invited to visit Berlin, Germany, for an English-speaking meetup on November 10th! Topics for the meetup will be announced shortly.
